Scope
Appleman is Aaron Appleman’s home for independent apps. This policy covers this website and its support form. Each app has a separate privacy policy.
Information you provide
When you submit feedback, we collect your selected app, feedback type, subject, message, any optional email and device details, and your preference about being contacted. We also record a submission reference, time, and support status. You can submit without giving an email address; an email is required if you request a reply.
How we use it
We use submissions to answer questions, investigate problems, improve apps, and manage support. Permission to contact you applies to this feedback, not a marketing mailing list. Please do not include sensitive personal information, passwords, or payment details.
Storage and service providers
Feedback is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and is available to the site operator through the Firebase console. Google Firebase and Google Cloud process data to deliver, secure, and operate the website. These providers may process data outside your country. Support submissions may also be forwarded to our support inbox through our email service providers. If you contact us by email, your message passes through the relevant email providers.
Security and abuse prevention
Connections use HTTPS. To limit spam, the server derives a short-lived hash from a network address and an hourly time window. The feedback database does not store the raw network address. Rate-limit windows reset hourly. Expired rate-limit records are removed through Firestore’s automatic time-to-live cleanup, which may occur after their expiry. Hosting providers may separately keep operational and security logs under their own policies.
Our feedback forms use Google reCAPTCHA to help prevent spam and abuse. It processes browser, device, and interaction information for security analysis and may use cookies. We send a short-lived verification token to Google for assessment before accepting feedback. We do not store the token in support records. Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not add advertising trackers, marketing analytics, or its own tracking cookies. Hosting providers may use essential security technologies to protect the service. Opening an App Store link or another external service is subject to that service’s privacy practices.
Retention and your choices
Support messages are retained while needed to handle feedback, maintain a support record, and meet applicable obligations. You can request access, correction, or deletion by contacting support and providing your reference number or the email used for the submission. We may need information to verify a request. Anonymous messages may be difficult to locate without a reference.
Children
This support form is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
